Ladybugs

Ladybugs Weird question here...does anyone know how to get ladybugs out of my house? They're in my bathroom and at first I thought they were kinda cute, but one bit me yesterday and no I want them all gone. I don't even know how they got in and they are only in my bathroom...no where else in the house. It's driving me CRAZY!

I can loan you my cat... She loves the taste of lady bugs. It grosses me out, so I wouldn't mind not having to watch it for a while, though I would miss her fiercely.

I had a cat like that too She never went after ladybugs but she luuuuuuuved beetles and spiders. Basiy, any insect which gave maximum audible crunch per chew as well as masticated crumbs of carapace to clean up afterwards! I swear they deliberately pull their lips back to get maximum audio exposure for their little fangs.

This is a good link I use to have that problem where I use to live and my landlord had to spray because the ladybugs bite.

aaaarghr!!! and i had just gotten this sesame street song out of my head: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve ladybugs came to the ladybugs' picnic i curse you! (also i have no advice. sorry. who knew ladybugs bite?)

strange I have never heard of ladybugs biting. A friend said she can smell them, but I never could. I have had them in the house, but I just let them out the window or just wait and they seem to leave on their own. I believe they are good luck!

The native ones don't tend to bite but about x years ago there was this massive aphid problem and they imported asian ladybugs which are more aggressive to solve the problem. 'Cause introducing a new species to an ecosystem is just that smart. Anyway, the asian ladybugs do tend to bite, they're more orangy than red with less spots and they eat a TON of aphids. Oh and I think they're wiping out the native ladybugs now. We get swarms of them now in spring and fall and we never used to. They used to be my favourite bug - now they're kind of gross.

just an fyi, ALL ladybugs and all their larva are voracious predators. their mouthparts are for eating small bugs and eggs. also they are neato looking
